Tuesday Morning Reads

Here is what I am reading as we head into the 4th of July:

  • Some astounding numbers in this blog post by Kevin Lacroix – most notable for me is that 15% of all securities claims in the first half of 2018 were claims against Life Science companies. Interestingly, of the 204 securities lawsuits, only 6 were IPO related and all 6 were for IPO’s that happened in 2017 or 2018 (D&O Diary).  The story of MiMedx will most likely add to this number (Marketwatch).
  • Great interview with John Sculley, former CEO of Apple, and now Chairman and Chief Marketing Officer of RxAdvance, a PBM, on ways the private sector can help fix the healthcare system (Forbes).
  • As an avid runner, I can attest that running definitely boosts one’s mindfulness and now there are some studies to back that up (Bigthink).
  • Finally, a competitor to Mylan’s EpiPen (Biopharma Dive).
